Ambulance Service on Alert for Diwali, Available on a Single Call - Dial 108 for Ambulance Services

108 and 102 Ambulance Services Available 24 Hours to Serve Patients



Basti: On the occasion of Diwali, 108 and 102 ambulances will be on alert mode. EMRI Green Health Services, the ambulance service provider, has instructed all ambulances to remain on alert 24 hours a day. All ambulances of the 108 service in the district will be available to serve people round the clock. Anyone can call 108 to avail the ambulance service.


Program Manager of 108 and 102 Ambulance Services, Rajan Vishwakarma, stated that an alert has been issued to ensure immediate ambulance service for patients on Diwali. All 35 ambulances of the 108 service will be ready to serve patients 24 hours a day. Instructions have been given to ensure the availability of essential medicines in all ambulances. On Diwali, ambulances have been directed to be stationed at strategic locations in cooperation with the police and administration to provide prompt service when needed.


 *What to Do in Case of Burns* 


Diwali presents a risk of burn accidents from firecrackers or lamps. Avoid wearing loose clothes on Diwali. Keep water nearby when lighting firecrackers. In case of burns from firecrackers or any other cause, pour plain or tap water on the affected area. Keep the wound clean and cover it with a clean cloth. Do not apply toothpaste, turmeric, salt, or any other substance on the burned area. Call 108 for an ambulance and consult a doctor upon reaching the hospital.

Heart attack


Severe abdominal pain, difficulty breathing


Sudden unconsciousness, fever


Animal bites from dogs, monkeys, or other animals
